Focus on the bottom line.
When it comes to marketing, it's easy to get caught up in the creative part of the work and lose sight of the bottom line. It's critical to keep your eye on the prize, by breaking down your tasks and having a clear understanding of the scope of work. Creating a clear list of deliverables and assigning tasks, will give you clarity and help avoid unnecessary drama
It's not creative unless it sells.
Of course, everyone enjoys attention-grabbing, witty marketing, but it's crucial to make sure that your message is concise and accurately reflects the voice of your customer. The number of heads you turn during a campaign is not merely as important as the number of customers you converted.
Know when to say no.
Know your limitations and trust your instincts. Don't be afraid to tell a client no when they have unrealistic expectations or if you feel that you don't have the abilities to deliver. Saying no to work that is outside your wheelhouse will help you stay in your lane and remain laser focused on the areas that you excel at.
