FOCUS ON WHAT'S IN YOUR CONTROL
Often, when going through a difficult time, we want to change the narrative in order to gain control and feel more comfortable. The reality is, a lot of things are completely out of our control. Focusing on what's in your control allows you to begin to create change in aspects that are more feasible.
BE COMFORTABLE WITH UNCERTAINTY
One of the main causes of anxiety is being uncomfortable with uncertainty. In life, there is a lot of uncertainty; such as waking up in the morning; but we don't get lost in thinking about it. It's when we are uncomfortable with the uncertainty that we become extremely anxious. Accepting that it's out of your control and becoming comfortable with the uncertainty can reduce anxiety.
FOCUS ON THE POSITIVE
It's difficult not to get caught up in all of the negativity that's going on. That is because our brain is conditioned to absorb all negativity and deny positivity. Focusing on the positive that is, allows you to strengthen the muscle of positivity and with time allow yourself to start seeing more positivity that is around you.
